Linked to our Bus Franchising programme, we have a rare opportunity for new HR Advisors to join our People team on a part-time basis. The Bus Franchising programme is a transformational and high-profile aspect of the Combined Authority’s work within the region and requires input from HR in areas such as organisational development and organisational change.
We currently have two part-time vacancies, one at 18.5 hours per week and one for approx. 24-30 hours per week (actual hours to be confirmed). We would be happy to discuss the hours of work with any interested applicants. This is a great opportunity to join the organisation at a pivotal time, playing an active role in shaping and delivering our evolving people agenda, as well as the transition of the organisation to a delivery, project-based model.
As a HR Advisor, you will support and advise employees on a wide range of HR matters, including employee relations, performance management, policy compliance, and the implementation of HR initiatives. You will also contribute to continuous improvement of HR processes, maintain up to date knowledge of employment legislation, and play a key role in promoting a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
As we transition to a delivery-focused model that emphasises project-based working and management, this role would be best suited to a HR Advisor with strong generalist experience, ideally complemented by a background in managing or supporting HR projects. Experience of workforce planning and organisational change would also be beneficial.
